What Differentiates Values School?

1. SMALL –SIZED CLASSES FOR INDIVIDUALIZED AND SMALL-GROUP INSTRUCTION
After constant assessments have been conducted to determine the strengths and weaknesses of each child, there is a need to do instruction
by small groups or individually.

2. QUARTERLY PARENT-TEACHER DIALOGUE ON CHILD’S PROGRESS
Teachers schedule parents for a dialogue with them after every quarterly summative assessment in order to report to them the progress made and any particular concern that needs their attention.

3. DOWNPLAY OF WEALTH, POWER, AND MATERIALISM
The school advocates a culture of simplicity: which is why children are NOT allowed to bring cell phones, tablets, and expensive toys to school. If a child violates this rule, such items will be confiscated after two (2) warnings.
Family status and material wealth are to be ignored for fair treatment of all children.

4. REST/SIESTA TIME
All children from Grade I to Grade VI are made to take a nap after lunch and before classes in the afternoon. If older kids cannot
sleep, but would rather read, they are allowed to do so while maintaining silence.

5. VARIED FRIDAY ACTIVITIES
Structured, and formal classes are conducted only from Mondays to Thursdays. It’s “fun time” on Fridays with varied activities which promote learning while having fun. Programs, quiz bowls, fairs, sports, etc.,
are usually done on Fridays.

6. LITERATURE-BASED ENGLISH AND FILIPINO READING PROGRAM
An invitation to attend the Reading Camp is awarded to every child after he/she has reached the required number of points for books read.
